From the Bluewater Casino to the Parker Dam, is called the Parker Strip, it's about 10 miles long, pretty fun place to hang out with a jetski.

The Colorado gets pretty remote from Bluewater to Blyth.

It's hard to miss the strip, its pretty well known, just ask around when in the area, they'll point you in the right direction. Just get on 95 and head to Parker From Havazoo, once you pass Havasu Springs your almost to the dam.

Did the run from Parker Dam to Needles 2 weeks ago and nearly ran out of gas. You can get fuel in Topoc, just after the 40 bridge. Inlet on the right.
5.99 a gallon.

For curiosity sake how far and how much time did it take. I ask because I have a neighbor who has a timeshare just above Parker Dam and we are planning a trip next month. One of our plans is to do the same ride.
We do the Parker strip a lot but it is so limited and crowded we have decided to make our next trip from Parker Dam and head up river.

Riding from the Parker Dam south, you will be limited to the Parker "strip", which stretches approx 17 miles from Parker Dam south to Headgate dam just below the Bluewater casino. There are a few very shallow areas to watch out for (see coloradoriverinfo . com ), and it can be very crazy on weekends. One note of interest are the two floating bars. Fox's and Roadrunner. Good times for sure!

Re: riding below parker dam-colo river

I ride Parker all the time good fun but if you are looking for a along ride the strip is not the right spot it's only about ten miles but if you go below Parker I think you can go all the way to Yuma
