| Re: NYC cruising Hey I know that already sounds like a nice long cruise for the day but if you have any extra time, I would suggest that you keep going past the Sputen Duyvil towards the Tappan Zee bridge, ride close along the west shore of the Hudson, the scenery and the river are really really beautiful there. If you ride pretty close to the shore there is an a really cool waterfall coming from way above you, I'd say about 6 miles or so north of the GWB on the Jersey side, it's a great picture (I'm guessing you're planning to have a camera with you on the ride!) or place to stop for a little break. Maybe head toward the Tappan Zee, it's about 18 or 20 miles north of the GWB, go as far as you have time for (there's a marina with gas also on the west shore in a big cove just before you get to the bridge) then turn around and catch the Spuyten on the way back.
