Apache Lake on Labor Day weekend

The desert coves are pretty cool to chill in…..

This is our campsite and we had our favorite spot. Life was good till the dogs decided to chase a skunk! They did not win that battle. lol

Oh well, gotta take the bad with the good I suppose. It all worked out in the end, I hope Mojo learned her lesson—but I doubt it.

When it’s 110 out here in “SUNNY” AZ this is where I like to be.

You can almost picture Apache Indians in these picturesque cliff dwellings from back in the day.

Jan enjoys riding the “Beamer” as she calls it, as it’s a smooth ride.

One of our secluded campspots

A brief Thunderstorm came and went. We kind of liked it although AJ wasn’t liking the thunder.

Just like that it cleared up and Blue Sky’s were beckoning.

The views at this lake really are breathtaking….

The Hole in the Tree is a great hideout…

Someone with a BIG HATCHET put a hurtin on the rock.

There’s nothing like a sunset ride heading back—fortunately we were headed the opposite direction.

That’s all folks, hope you enjoyed the AZ scenery. As you can tell it’s a dry dusty desert so there is no reason to move here…..hehehehe

Nice shots. You're lucky to be surrounded by such scenery. I will never have surroundings like that to ride in. ( well in highly unlikely anyway )
