Eastern north carolina

Anyone do any riding along the east coast of North Carolina? I have been up and down the intercoastal waterway, up and down the inlets, and along the coast from top sail past onslow beach. I am looking to put in around morehead city and beaufort. Any suggestions as where to put the skis in at? Any ride groups in this area?

Re: Eastern north carolina

I have also considered launching at Morehead City. There is a public ramp on the right in the city. I usually launch at the USO here in Jacksonville and a few times at Northeast creek park.

I have never been that far south. Farthest I have made it was top sail island. I dropped in under the overpass on NC-210 and rode the ICWW and came out between onslow beach and north top sail island to the ocean. I have seen a few people that mentioned going riding near oak island in different posts.

Hey, I think there is a new ramp at Beaufort. Try ncangler.com for more info. It sounds like it is real nice and not crowded. morefish
