Can you cover 240 miles per day?

Can you cover 240 miles per day w/ an FX-HO? Average 40 mph, go 120 miles, stop once for fuel/rest, and go another 120 miles. 7 hour day. I have never covered serious distance in my FX-HO, so is above too much for one day?

Re: Can you cover 240 miles per day?

We've done that and more, at times way more on our FX HO's! It's fun to start early and stay out 'til dark, that way you can cover lots of miles and still have time for beach breaks and stuff in between. I do fear that with gas prices the way they'll probably be I will be doing way less of that type of riding days this coming summer, probably a lot of shorter rides with much longer beach stops, I think it just might have to be that way if I'm gonna be able to keep payin' my bills!

Re: Can you cover 240 miles per day?

Depends on the weather conditions. Easily can be done in calm waters. But in bad weather and offshore, totally different story.
