| Re: Pewaukee Lake, Wi I know a few guys who have ridden there, and I've heard bad things. Speed limit is enforced. I think it is 35 weekdays and 25 weekends, but don't quote me on that. It is also one of the lakes in waukesha county where the "repetitive course" law is enforced. In other words, you can't hang out in one spot and goof off on your ski, the cops expect you to make counter-clockwise laps around the lake like any other boat pulling a skiier.
I know there is a public launch on the west side of the lake, off hwy E.
If you live in racine, you're better off heading west on hwy 11 to Browns lake.
(disclaimer: The above is my opinion based upon what I've heard about pewaukee lake. I've never ridden pewaukee, but I've ridden browns a ton, and a buddy of mine has a place on browns - he gets minimal hassle from the cops, considering how busy it is there on the weekends.)
