Lake Michigan Bull Sharks?

I first seen this last night watching River Monsters on NGC. I new about bull shark attacks on the St. Lawrence but it appears they go ALOT further in somtimes , 2500 miles in is the longest recorded. I know it will probaly never happen but I feel a little less safe bobbing around out there on a hot summer day!

Re: Lake Michigan Bull Sharks?

I was actually reading up on the subject last night and stumble across this thread. In the 1950's there was a shark attack in Lake MIchigan.

http://conservationreport.com/2008/0...-shark-attack/

"in 1955 George Lawson had his right leg bitten off by a bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas) while swimming in Lake Michigan near Chicago. The attack was unprovoked and by surprise"

However I will still continue to ride Lake Michigan.
