Bender Park, Late December 2009

So, I was in the area on Sunday and drove down to the beach/launch at Bender. The water sure looked wet, as my eyes could not see any ice anywhere - not in the marina, not on the beach, not on the piers, not on the rocks, not on the ramps, not anywhere...

Then I looked at the 10-day weather forecast today, and realized that the last 8 days of the forecast calls for temps that should keep the water at Bender plenty wet for a while yet.

I'm sure most of you have already winterized your skis, and I have winterized all of mine as well, except one...one very lonely SJ right now.

So, I was walking towards this one remaining unwinterized SJ this morning, with a can of fogging oil in my hand and then something, something I can't quite explain, caused me to stop.

I'm just sayin'............

Are you triple dog daring me? Novemeber 17th was my previous 'latest ride of they year record' (which just so happened to be at bender in 2003), but we broke that record when we rode on November 22nd this year.

I haven't spoken with anyone. Just posted this thread so far. Steve's been online a bit lately, so I'm assuming he'll see this. If I don't hear anything soon, I'll send out some e-mails.

Yes, photos and VIDEO would be required. I'd offer to bring buoys, but I ain't droppin' 'em

I'm starting to think this Sunday would work. (Depending on how loosely you define "work".) I don't have to chase for my boy that morning, so getting there for the hottest part of the day won't be a problem. We could meet up at the store, load up my 3-place, and head on over - or just meet at bender. And actually, we really should demand that quite a few others join us as well.

If I didn't have plans already, I'd be crazy,(or stupid) enough to join you all. I'm attending a ski clinic up at Cascade all weekend, then driving Sunday aft/even to Arkansas to pick up that superjet for a buddy. Let me know how it goes , and definitely must see the pics.
