1/2 ton trucks

I've been thinking more and more about getting a truck. I feel like there isn't a day that goes by where I don't find myslef saying, "I wish I had a truck". I have always wanted one, and damnit I think it's time.

I'm leaning towards a chevy or a gmc. Anybody have any experiences with these? Any reason I should go with another brand?

Two things I'm not excited about are a car payment and poor gas milegae, but to be honest I can't seem to find away around them. Compact trucks are just too small. Not enough room inside for dogs, people, and cargo. Not enough bed room for two skis. I feel like I either put a hitch on my accord (which I don't really want to do for some reason), or get a 1/2 ton.

Let me know what ya think.

I've had my 1990 GMC half ton since 1992. 378,000 miles and counting! Great truck. I'd be lost without it,,,,

GET A TRUCK!!! You'll use it for EVERYTHING.

Go diesel, you wont regret it. Depending what you do with it, you may also step up to a 3/4 ton. You know the bigger truck you get, the more payload you are going to want to load it and tow with it. The dodge 24V 6 cyl have good power and get 22-24 mi per gallon.

+1
that is why you should get either a Toyota Tundra or a Nissan Titan.
Don't send your money to Canada or Mexico.

This should be fun.
