One rule book..is that your final answer???

After speaking with Patrick Mell of The APBA and Scott Frazier of The IJSBA it looks as if our prayers have been answered and our voices have finally been heard!!!

As of 2/09/2010 Patrick Mell ststed that The APBA will go by the 2010 IJSBA rulebook due to thefact that The IJSBA has agreed to include the current Ski Stk Spec class rules. This is great news!!

Mr. Mell also stated that he is working on a APBA Update to give everyone a heads up as to whats new and what to expect.
With that being said I was also told that the Highpoints system will be changed..Highpoints can only be earned in The APBA tour classes ONLY meaning that mainly Expert and Pro Classes will be the ones receiving highpoints and will be crowned Tour Highpoints Champion at The APBA Nationals, also meaning that regional racing will be just that for Regional Points only..NO MORE highpoints. So when you go to nashville its pretty much like World Finals you show up with a fresh start and he who wins is the Champion.

This should be a great way to finally try and help to rebuild regional racing in The U.S.
There are some other things that will be in the update but that is all I have as of now and we will all await the official release and announcement from The APBA within the next few days.

We at R5WaterXRacing feel that all of us as promotors and racers have worked VERY hard to reach this goal and looks as if we did it!

Thank you Patrick Mell of The APBA and Scott Frazier of The IJSBA for working together to make this big step. This is a GOOD sign!

Heck shoot them an email or call them and tell them Thank you I think they deserve it!

Re: One rule book..is that your final answer???

Well if this is true....this is very good news....even the Nashville Championships brings an extra meaning for attending that event....I do know that many individuals including Patrick Mell and Scott Frazier are working 24/7 to bring us some great racing in 2010.....thanks to everyone involved that made this happen. Also, how about Pat and Scott being real MEN in getting together and working on a plan of ONE Rule Book for all of us (clap clap). We will contiue to support the APBA and the IJSBA any way we can.....Dad

Does this mean that at the world finals the current stock ski rules will be changed to apba stock ski spec rules? Or does this mean they are (adding another class) called stock ski spec that is currently apba rules? Will AJ run apba stock ski speck rules?

I talked to scott a few weeks ago and it sound like they are adding a spec ski class.
But if this is true it will be nice to have a spec class at the worlds!

Re: One rule book..is that your final answer???

Good idea to have one rulebook. Makes it a lot easier on the racers and it also frees people up to race either series. Smart move on Pat's part. Don't like adding any classes, but if that is what it takes to get one rule book, so be it.

Re: One rule book..is that your final answer???

Their should be no need for stock heavy class now. Or I guess no need for stock lites class. Confusing, but one rule book is good.
