Now that the finals are over, A few questions...

1:
Should there be a seperate rule book for regional and national racing next year ?? (Throw the IJSBA rule book out)
2:
Should there be a class restructuring to allow for the four stroke's to run
IN A SEPERATE CLASS??
3:
Should the World finals be held at the same location, or allow different cities to bid and or offer a new place to race???
4:
With respect to Scott,
Should we allow the IJSBA to change and adapt the rules to fit
THERE NEEDS
with no notice to anyone untill the last min??
>
This is just a start, I for one would like to see some changes.
There have been alot of politics and backdoor stuff that people
havn't been privy to. To me this seems very unfair to all.

What rule book. According to the rule book Hydrospaces are not legal to race under the homogolation section. Money buys your way around it!!!!! Kind of tells you where the IJSBA and the sport is going.

I think the IJSBA is kinda cought between a rock and a hard place here. On one hand if they stick to their guns and don't bend rules for manufacts then they potentially lose sponsorship money and then no one can race. So in an effort to keep the racing alive (as week as it is right now), this is what they have to do. That is how it seems to anyways...
It deffinately sucks, but it kinda looks like their only option at this point.

the hydrospace team/effort is a class act and definitely moving in the right direction. if racing survives here in the states i will definitely consider buying one. the ijsba made the right decision in letting them race. i'll bet 99% of the cry babies on this site can't manage their own lunch money let alone a business and big decisions for the right reasons. hydrospace has made the commitment while the other OEMs have their heads in the sand. please be positive, this IS the future, like it or not.

Here is a question
Why should anyone attend an event when the World Champion in a payout class doesn't even make his entry fee back? Amature 800 total entrents 23 times 240 bucks 5520$ and the winner brings home a whoping 210$ total purse of 600 bucks 10% payback please

Re: Now that the finals are over, A few questions...

Rude,
These are all excellent questions that should likely be addressed to the Riders Assoc. membership. To be sure, the IJSBA needs to listen to riders.... but at some point those riders are responsable for shaping a single unified message for the IJSBA to act on..... and the Riders Assoc. hierarchy are responsable for shaping that message.
The Riders Assoc has their own dedicated foum on this site.... and that might very likely be the best place to ask these important questions so that the Assoc can shape the single message it wishes to send to the IJSBA.
Respectfully, Harry Klemm

Novice, Expert and Am classes shouldn't even be getting payback. If you want money back, move up to Pro.

Thanks for the responses.
What I am trying to achieve is to gain information to put together a type of draft.
I would like to get other outlooks on these questions and others if they have.
Anyway, I am just thinking outloud.
I would hate to see nothing happen, then next year everyone screem when nothing was done sooner.
Keep the coments posting.
Thnx Again

Rude In my opinion

1. APBA needs to set a rule book for Regional races. WSC and ESC and US Nationals. IJSBA needs to maintain a rule book for international Events (world tour / world finals / us tour ????)

2. Yes 4 strokes both ski and runabout needs spearate classes, (pretty ridiculous when a Super Charged 4 stroke shows up in limited 1200 runabout class @ WF's)

3. Yes WF's does need to go to the highest bidder which will respect the income we'll bring in vice a city that gouges the racers with higher rates every year. But what marketing is in place to take proposals to marketable cities / locations? What cities locations have appraoched IJSBA / APBA that they want an event at thier location?

4. I think that as technology develops the rules are going to have to change both the ijsba's and the apba's for regionals. However the rules should not be changed without the approval of board members and rider representatives.
