| Re: Hot Products Mark Hahn 300 weather report Havasu I hear the weather is going to be perfect, don't miss this event!! 40 mph winds, 10 ft. waves is what Im hoping for, that would be perfect.
I might just bring the SC out for a cruise.

| Re: Hot Products Mark Hahn 300 weather report Havasu Yesterday was windy, with the usual "chop", and some light rain. Today is also windy(not like last years MH), temps should get to around 68, water temp is 60 degree's.
Now, do you want the good news, or the bad news??
The good news is that the National Weather Service computer models are only accurate for up to 5-days in advance.
Now the bad news, with 6 days to go, here is the forecast for Saturday the 27th; http://www.accuweather.com/us/az/lak...etric=0&fday=7
For those that are "link' challenged, here's the synopsis;
Air temp of 71 degree's, partly cloudy, no rain, and winds WNW 12 with gust to 23mph.....Yeeehaawww.....
Remember, the end of February, and all of March, is the start of our "windy" season.
Keep checking back. The forecasts are much more accurate when they are 3 days out.

I don't ride when it's like that. If I can see whitecaps on the water from my house, then it's 3 feet. No whitecaps, 2 feet.
But, the weather/wind in Havasu this time of year can change in a heartbeat. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. |

Hope for the best, but expect the worst. | EDIT: Lake Level report: I was just down at Body Beach, and the water level has dropped significantly, in the last 5-days. It has probably dropped around 5 feet, and is now at the same level as it was in October, at the World Finals.
That's actually good news. That means that if the water stays at this level, you won't have to drive so far out into the water, at Crazy Horse, to launch and recover your boats.
I'll post updates, if anything drastic changes.
Long rage weather is showing this;
Saturday, partly cloudy, low temp of 50degs, high of 71degs, winds from the WNW 12, gusting to 23mph!!! Water temp is 61 degrees.
These long range forecasts are not very accurate this far out. But, when it gets to within about 3-days of the event, they become very accurate.
