I received this letter to post on
www.iamremar.com. It's up over there, but I know not all racers outside of R6 visit our site. So, I'm posting it over here too. For anyone who does not remember, Jonathon has been racing here in R6, but is actually from Honduras. He was involved in an accident racing at Nationals and many people from all over the US and Canada stepped up to help with his medical bills. The overwhelming support was awesome. Here's what Jonathon had to say....
***************
Dear Friends,
I do not know where to begin. I want to thank you for your over whelming display of generosity and compassion shown to me during and after my accident at the Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee. It truly is great to be in America. My faith in God and humanity have been strengthened. It is beyond my comprehension how so many people from around the USA and Canada that have never met me or know very little about me can rally to my support. I praise God for the way he watches over me and brings people such as yourselves to meet my needs. I cannot find enough ways to show my gratitude to all the people that touched my life that day.
I want to give special thanks to the people from region 5 and the Sims Racing Team for their generous contributions. To Mike Remar for coordinating the fund raising efforts. Remar you are the best. Thank you Dennis Mack for your attention to my equipment while I was being treated by the medical staff. Thanks to Patrick and the staff for all the information and assistance they provided to me. Thank you so much for all the regional (5,6,7 & 8, including the Canadians) individual and combined efforts. I do not want to leave anyone out or diminish the efforts that were extended to me.
Especially I want to thank John Kettering and company. His family and friends made it possible for me to return to Ohio where I currently reside without delays. How can anyone forget the Schneider family and Riverside Racing for making this racing season possible, the time that they spent with me at the hospital and transporting me to and from the hospital. They made contact with my daughter so that she was aware of my situation.
May God bless all of you and your families for the way that you blessed me. Again, thank you so very much.
