starter removal vs warranty
i have an sbt engine under warranty... ( 2001 gp1200r )the starter went on it and its being difficult to get out and im told that sometimes the starter cone breaks off in the case and you need to open the front mag cover to drive the peice out.. now im told that anytime you " open " the engine you void the warranty.. does that count here? if it breaks off so i need to get a whole new motor????!!

No it doesnt void the warranty,only if you take a cly or head off or split the cases.

That is correct the warranty only gets voided if you take apart the portion of the engine we shipped to you.The front cover is a bolt on item that was install by whoever put the engine in the ski.
