SBT core question

I'm gunna be getting a 750sx motor from SBT

I bought a 93kaw sx with a blown motor... Some where down the line the crank case got cracked and welded.. The weld looks good but will SBT still take it as a core??

Because we warrant our welds we do not accept outside welding. If you would like to post a picture I could let you know how much extra it would be.

It looks to be around 150.00, we wouldn't know for sure until we could inspect it though. There is a list of salvage yards on shopsbt.com. You could call them up and see if they have anything cheaper for you.

One more quick question... Will you take a 650 core if i buy a 750 motor.. or is it a 750 for a 750??

Another quick question steph.. My motor now has 2 fittings on the top of the head for cooling?? do your sbt motors have that?? or am i gunna have to tap a hole in the new head??

Our motors use OEM heads, so the fittings should be there. I believe the small pin only has one fitting and the big pin has two. You would not want to tap your head for new fittings because it would void the warranty. As long as the fittings on the head of your motor are stock then you will be fine.
