Purchasing Top end kit 98 770 TSL

How can I winterize,Without starting engine! Can I fog removing Plugs and rotating shaft by hand?spraying in fogging oil! in carb and down piston holes!
Can I flush by removing cylinder plug and opening exaustmanifold drain and pouring in 1Qt. RV antifreeze and then refil with 1Qt.with drains closed.

My 770 will run butI don't know if I should not take a chance.causing further damage uniil ,I can get topend done! front 150# / rear 0#
I have to order kit in January

Whats your thoughts

The most important thing is to get all the water out of all the places it can get trapped, the exhaust, cylinders, and the head. My guess is you have a hole in the top of the piston. I have seen many 770 TS with that same issue.I think it would be ok to crank the motor without starting it and spraying the fogging oil in the spark plug holes.

Yes ,,but the salt in the engine/jackets,Is a majior concern of mine.I'm still going to flush with RVantifreeze.pouring it thru engine.with funnel from engine inlet hose and open manifold drain and exaust manifold plug.

Just take the motor out, or take off the cyl NOW. Dry it all out and fog the lower end. Wrap the remaining lower end in a plastic bag.

Best thing to do is take the engine apart now, If you wait till next season to work on it then it will be too late and cost a ton of money to fix. Like Dan said, the cylinder must be taken off and the water must be removed from the case, use a shop vac to remove all the water in the case then fill the lower case with oil, then you can put off fixing for a while. Also spray down the entire inside of the head with some type of oil to prevent any rust there too.
