possible wrong engine sent

i just purchased a 657 for a 93 xp. as i was installing the magneto it didn't fit, the magneto was to large for the seat opening. upon further inspection i noticed that there was a difference in the cases where the magneto seated, on the jugs mine said swd 92 and the one the at ws sent to me said swd 93

All the stator plates are the same,the ears get bent down sometimes.

Just install stator & draw it in with the bolts a little on each one at a time.

Dont worry out the #s on the clys thats just casting years.

there is quite a diffrence between my stator and the opening on the one i have. i mean its more then just a snug fit. not only that but if i do force it in a 1) how will i adjust it to the proper timing and b) if i damage the cases ill void my warranty id imagine or possibly have a broken stator.

i spoke to jeremy this morning he has an email with pictures of the intakes and magneto crank snouts .
