Newbie question for SBT

Newbie here and i'm from the Philippines. Hear about SBT alot here and i just want to ask.. how does this work? I have a 2001 GPR800 bought it off a friend but it seems not in perfect condition.... i am definitely interested in getting a standard or premium engine with all the reliability issues addressed. (waveeater clips, etc)
Does the price on the internet require me to send in my current engine in exchange? or can i trade in my current engine?
Thank you for your time

Re: Newbie question for SBT

All of our engines are sold on an exchange basis. Being out of the country we require your engine here before we ship you a replacement. Once we receive your engine we will contact you to make arrangements for payment and shipping. Hope this helps.

Oh ok... great... No problem shipping the engine there. Delivery is to a consolidator in 90064 also. Since it is an overseas purchase, am i exempted from tax? Thanks for your time.

Re: Newbie question for SBT

by the way john, what would be the major difference between the standard engine and the premium engine?

Re: Newbie question for SBT

Yes you would be exempt from tax other than any taxes you would owe in your owm country. The difference between the standard and premium engine packages is the premium comes with a 2 year warranty, an installation gasket set, break in oil, and our swimsuit calender and dvd. The engines themselves are the same.
