The issue is we dont know what exact year used the raised valve cover or the flush valve cover, Yamaha uses the same part # on all the vx110 yrs for the valve cover even know they are different. All the cam sensors are the same part # also. In most cases the parts can be interchanged without any issue, but every now and then we get a customers ski that doesnt work with the raised valve cover. If Yamaha would have used two different part #s for the covers for the model yrs we wouldn't have this issue.
