I was planning to order a premium 787 motor but when I read the fine print in the checkout I was a bit concerned about what exactly constitutes "broken aluminum." The purchase agreement says:
"I will be charged for the repair or replacement of any broken aluminum, missing or aftermarket parts on the core that is returned to SBT (engines, crankshaft, cylinder exchanges, counterbalance shafts and rotary valve covers all require a core return). "
The cylinder head on one side of my 787 got chewed up when whatever it was that got sucked in there got beat around against the head. Please see the photos and tell me if I will be charged $165

for a cylinder head fee??? Also, one of the cylinders on my motor has been previously welded up. If the cylinder is considered "broken" will I be charged a $350

cylinder fee??? I'm not going to order the motor if I risk having to pay 61% of the cost of a complete standard rebuilt motor for a couple damaged parts that can probably be purchased on eBay for around $100. Those rates seem very high considering what SBT pays for cores.
I have not done business with SBT before so I don't know what to expect and I want to make sure that there aren't going to be any surprises on my credit card if I order the motor. Please let me know. Thanks.
