Exactly what is a tank of gas for break-in?

In reading the SBT post on engine break-in, I am confused on the term "tank of gas."

Post is here:

http://server1.sbtontheweb.com/forum...ad.php?t=13960

There are mentions in the post to 10 gallons such as extra oil for the first 10 gallons, etc. My Sea Doo Challenger has a 27 gallon fuel tank. I'm not sure if the post means when you say "After the second tank of gas, you are completely broken in and may ride anyway you like." thay it means after 20 gallons of fuel or after "two tanks" which for me would be 54 gallons!?

I would go off the 10 gallon statement. Since the Challenger is more of a boat and has WAY more fuel storage than a PWC should I dont think they were putting it in the PWC list.

Other Idea...Call them or send them an e-mail.

For single engine jet boats 10 gallons is a good gauge. Twin engine jet boat you should use 20 gallons for break in.

Ok, thanks. I'll use 10 gallons as the "tank of gas" mark for my boat. It has a single 787.
