Awful dryness.

I have a mangled 750sx premium engine in my possession. A rod snapped and there are no signs of detonation or hydrolock. The engine's warranty is up and I am not the one whom purchased this engine. I bought the ski with high hopes of the NEWLY REBUILT ENGINE, but not so much anymore. The seller whom I bought it from had moved down to SC from New Jersey and hadn't ridden it since. I rode it 3 times with break in premix 1:1 because it was that fresh with 93 octane and tc-w3 certified oil. I would like another engine, but I am looking for OEM for fear this might happen again. The overheating blisterpack is still intact. Is there anything you can do for me?
