R5 Racer Call Out!

Ok, it's offseason... Time to watch the Texas teams play their sports and go through the holidays. I know some of you are building and trying to practice and patch up skis? Who is working on what? Who is moving up classes, or adding classes like sport class to the 2010 season? Anybody new planning on racing this season in R5? TSR Motorsports is still going to be practicing in Beaumont, TX on Boomtown Waterpark USA. Gene's Powersports Baytown, TX and adding this season Three Palms moto x park in Spring, TX. We have the potential to have as many as 8 ski and sport riders at one practice OR MORE in the Houston / College Station / Beaumont areas. Lets all stay in touch and try to post everywhere that we are riding and get some big weekends together. They are working on all the classes for 2010, but lets make sure we all try to get someone new to the races this year. Its our time to make some big waves in this sport by what we have all accomplished nationally and now focus locally and get some new guys and gals out on the track having fun with us.

Happy Holidays to everyone and cant wait till next season....

Re: R5 Racer Call Out!

Smoofers, theres a stock HX on baton rougue craigs list if some of your friends wanna get into sport racing and there was a guy on here selling a blaster cheap that needs some love and paint. Are you moving to Baytown or Mt. Belvue? We will ride genes on select saturdays and most times during the week before 6pm when they close. Rob and I go on like days we are off which is only 6 a month now. Hopefully Curtis and Kelly will come more since they live a little closer. Luke usually will show up and Mark Mcqueen. Let me know if you wanna come ride at boomtown too. We are getting some more riders over here slowly and Mike Thomes wants to start riding with us and he can help u out with your ski.

Re: R5 Racer Call Out!

Yea kelly and I will shoe up a little more, and I am setting up my 2 blasters for sport spec as backup boats so we should be more reliable or possibly have twice as many problems, who knows.

Re: R5 Racer Call Out!

Well it looks like Kenny will have some strong blasters where ever they go once they are purchased. Curtis: You and Kelly and Smoofers, Joseph better form an Alliance of the dark side before the blasters take over. I know you can race both but still. Where is Mike Thomas????? I cant wait to watch the sport races this year... It will be the premier class in R5 and probably in Team Sport as well. When is the soonist you guys can practice? Im getting Married in 7 weeks and Im in the carribean for one in April, Im available to ride and set up a course March 20, 21. May 8, 9. Let me know.

Re: R5 Racer Call Out!

Joey, Mike Thomas has been Hunting and racing his Kart, plus catching up on the never ending list of things at the house that always seem to get pushed off till winter. One of my HX's is prepped and ready to go as well as two stock Blasters. I still have one HX to build and I'm trying to decide if i want to build another spec boat or build it as a GP boat. I should be available on 20/21 March and 8/9 May (that's Mothers day weekend so she has first pick), just let me know where we are going...

Re: R5 Racer Call Out!

Well the rules have changed, now that hx's are allowed lighter pto's and more compression we should be more competitive off the start and in a rough crowded field HX's will excel over blasters. So it will get interesting.

But what I'm all about now is Tim's offshore race. Back to insanity, hour and a half in hopefully huge surf, there is nothing like a Texas surf race period:

Gulf Coast Surf Challenge***Tentative***
Where: Corpus Christi, TX
When: Saturday, April 17
