My first sj good deal or not?

Ok, so I got this 1990 sj for $650 with the trailer....ski started on the first try sounded fine has 150/150 compression. Was not able to ride it before i bought it so hopefully it rides fine, also just needs a battery. It will be a backup/ my gf ski. What do you think good deal or am I retarded? I am also looking to sell the single trailer anyone interested?

Re: My first sj good deal or not?

You haggled down from $800 right??? Pretty good deal if you ask me. I like the graphics too. Never seen those before.
Looks all stock but fully intact. I like the inch of water in the bottom , get that outta there.

I never got a response from the forum on compatibility but there is a pretty nice impellor on craigs if you want to take a look. Don't know how it will do on a superjet though. http://houston.craigslist.org/boa/1448551006.html

Re: My first sj good deal or not?

Its not a problem as water gets into these skis through the hood when you ride. Its a good idea to get as much out as possible after each ride just to prevent rust. Once you get all the water out, prop the hood with a piece of wood or something (dont damage the hood seal) so the air can circulate inside the ski. Moisture and sitting for long periods of time are not a good combo.

You should be fine though. Tags say 09 so hopefully its been ridden in the last few years. Have fun.
