Canyon Lake in June

I'm looking at going to Canyon lake in a few weeks and wondering if anyone has current conditions and boat ramp status

Re: Canyon Lake in June

Several of the parks are closed due to the low levels. Many of the boat ramps are closed due to being totally out of the water. I would go to Jacobs Creek and plan on getting there early!

Re: Canyon Lake in June

Here's the best and most often updated place to check out info for Canyon Lake:

http://www1.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/drought/drought.htm

I always check the above link before we go to Canyon Lake lately...

My wife and I go there often... There's still water in the lake, but Yellow93 is def on target about several boat ramps being closed... Jacobs Creek and Canyon Park ( I go to Canyon Park, myself) are still open...

Re: Canyon Lake in June

Also, forgot to mention that if you're active/retired military, the Army and the Air Force have very nice facilities available at Canyon Lake...

Re: Canyon Lake in June

You'll want to check with all the tubing outfitters as well if you're thinking about tubing around here... There's not much water flowing... Canyon Lake is still rideable, though... My wife and I were just there on Memorial Day...
