(2) 2001 GP800R non-running projects.. I need 2 like I need....

Austin, TX area.
I picked two skis up the other day.
They're both matching 2001 GP800R skis. Hours unknown - LCDs look bad, no batteries, and I didn't try to power them up. I bought them from a guy locally who had taken on more than he or his shop could handle and the wife was making him sell all the projects. He bought them from a dealer locally - knowning that one motor was DOA, but thinking the other was fine. Both motors, as it turned out, are remans and both dropped a piston. Perhaps someone forgot to rebuild carbs or didn't break them in properly. I bought them as "complete" with titles - I'm registering them in my name on Monday.
One ski had the motor removed (looked complete) as far as I could tell - all the major parts are there.
The other had the top end off.
It doesn't look like they've been sunk, they were kept outside and he MDFs took on some water.
Pumps in very good shape - no bearing issues, no chips in the props. It doesn't look like they were beached.
Hulls had sat out, I give them fair shape, a few fiberglass cracks - but nothing looking structural.
My plan was to SBT these motors, but between gaskets, SBT motors, carb kits, etc it's looking expensive.
One case has damage - penny sized hole in the case (can be welded no problem). Other case I can't find any damage on, but have not pulled it.
Both were registered out of Jonestown, TX (Lake Travis) - I believe they're freshwater and have registration current to this year, so they were running within the last 2 years.
I'm going to get around to fixing them - but would consider trading one - or the double trailer - for a ready-to go deal. Plus or minus cash, depending on how they work out.
I'm really not looking to sell, more like looking to trade. I'd even consider trading one for a complete motor (known hours, compression, etc) - or maybe even for wrenching/service if you've got a good repuation.
I value them approximately:
1) Ski 1: Pulled motor (penny sized hole in case) - just cleaned the inside of the hull. $1000. This motor will likely got to SBT soon! MFD has water in it.
2) Ski 2: Pulled top end (case not inspected) - Haven't touched this one beyond a power wash $1300. MFD has water in it.
3) Double ski trailer - tires hold air, I'd recommend replacing them. Bearings seemed OK, I've towed it for about 40 miles. One of the bunks needs replacement. With all used trailers, I recommend tire replacement and bearing inspection. $675. (to trade for this, I need a single traile and probably to get rid of a ski). I will not sell it and land lock the skis.

I have a replacement MFD on order.

Anyone interested in a trade or other situation? I need 2 of these like I need a hole in my head. We just completed a custom home, I've got a 4runner that needs a new rear end, a honey-do list a mile long, and a 23.5' boat that I've got up for sale. I literally work all week, then work at home all weekend. I'm in Lago Vista, TX - on the N. shore of lake Travis, about a 1/4 mile from a private boat ramp.

Photos - I'll add more as I work on these things:

Those aren't that old and could be nice skis, sad how people don't take care of things.

I completely agree.. they had new motors in them... My guess is that someone chose not to clean the carbs.
