Weights in the 750sx hull?

i have heard this before but cant remember where. There is at least one weight in the front of the hull and then two underneath the tray. is that right? I have noticed only one in the front of a new hull i picked up and my old hull doesnt have one.
If so how can i remove these without tearing into my fiberglass?

Thanks

+1

Are they glassed into the hull? There used to be a product called Rayce Weights (I think that's how they spelled it), but I believe those just bolted in.

Can you post a picture of what you're talking about?

Re: Weights in the 750sx hull?

My old '92 750SX had one in the front/bottom half, just right of center - it is (was) glued on there by the factory to help combat porposing and improve overall handling - it's an old 440/550 slalom ski trick.

Re: Weights in the 750sx hull?

that is a "counter weight" installed by kawasaki, i think to off set the exhaust weight. as i remember, all the 750's had them. i would leave it there, no need to remove.

thats what i was told by someone who has been in the business for a long time. im sure thats right.
