recommend a intake grate and ride plate?

I've got an SXR, pretty much maxed out in the engine department - bored to 805, heads, wet pipe, light weight flywheel, bored carbs, cooling upgrades, impeller, nozzle bored, etc. everything.

except... I'm still riding stock intake grate and ride plate. I use it in the river some, but love it in the ocean more - sebastian's monster hole is heaven to me.

Can someone recommend a grate and plate for me? I've been out of the forum for a while - got married, house, kids, etc. but I'm ready to get back in it as full time as I can go!

Re: recommend a intake grate and ride plate?

You have got a lot of choises. For intakes, TBM or Skat-Trak. Ride plates, TBM, JetDynamics, Craftmans, ShreadMaster, R&D, Worx, Macc, or a modded stocker. It all depends on what you like and what you use the ski for, Freestyle, Race or Freeride. Sounds like you may fall into the freeride area riding in the ocean with the waves. You might be able to do the "D" cut to the stock plate and be happy. Do a search on ride plates and you will find lots of info. For starters check out www.tbmracing.com www.blowsion.com www.skat-trak.com
