Novi vs. full spectrum

Hey guys I am currently building up a flatwater freestyle ski. I am going to be running the Dasa 1100 16mm stroker. My question is to those who have had experienced with novi and full spectrum. I am debating wether to run the full spectrum 49s or the novi48s. From what I have read the 1mm does not have much difference in the draw. Does it just come down to manufacturer preference or is there some performance difference, especially on a big bore set up like I am running.

Re: Novi vs. full spectrum

Well I just did a search AFTER I posted and found a similar thread. The credibility of either manufacturer is not the question as both have great revues. Just curious if one would be better known for the application I am using it for as I noticed most guys who chimed in on the similar thread were racing their ski.

Re: Novi vs. full spectrum

I have bought new carbs from both Tim and Ed. Both setup's were on Seadoo 785 based skis. The end result with the FS's was superior to the Novi's IMO.

Re: Novi vs. full spectrum

I don't think you can go wrong with either. I have Full Specs on our Blaster 951 and Novis on my mod and spec blasters. I have run Full Specs on everything from Limited SJs to full mod stroker blasters. Basically, it will come down to personal preference. Both Ed and Tim make great products, both are very knowledgeable. Ed is a lot easier to reach for tech assistance. If you look at all of the top Freestyle guys out there, they all have one or the other.

Re: Novi vs. full spectrum

I think you mean to say... What tuner is supporting which brand? Novi or Full Spectrum. I spoke to both Ed from Full Spectrum and Tim from Novi-tec before making my choice. Lately it seems as though Tim Judge is exclusively working with Tim @ Novi. I just ordered a set of Novi's for my Spec Blaster. The two Tim's worked together with my current mods lol and I look forward to trying them out.

Tim's service at Novi is top notch. Easy to get a hold of. Seems to take the time to speak to his customers and make recommendations

Re: Novi vs. full spectrum

a guy i ride with was telling me the f.s.49s ran like crap on his dasa 1000 10 mill. he said the full spec. 48s ran much better and were easy to tune.
