I have a question about coils

Hi all, I am wondering if any 2 pole coil would work on a PWC or are the coils used on these different? I have a high quality coil from a twin 4 stroke engine and the coil on my 640 Tigershark is toast and I am wondering if it will work. It looks the same almost (shaped a little different) Or would two separate coils work as well? Anyone ever done this?

Re: I have a question about coils

well, some coils produce more or less voltage than others but basically they are all designed to accomplish the same thing.
