Ocean Trips - Keys / Bimini Islands

I've got a couple long ocean trips in mind once it warms up some.

1) Miami to Key Largo,55mi, got to go extra far out to clear the Biscayne national park. probably go soon after it warms up around here.

2) Miami to Bimini Islands, 60 miles. Still planning this, its more complicated.

My plan is to bring extra gas tanks, GPS, cell phone, radio, snack food, water, etc.

If anyone is down to go with or has suggestions let me know!

Im 100% in for trip number 1. I want to cruise at 45-50 since I have a VX. That sounds like a fun ride. When do you plan on doing this?

45-50 sounds good, my RXP-X isnt too nice on gas going any faster anyway =)

Anytime is fine with me. Some day that is warm and not too much wind to make for easier cruising. Looks like the weather wont be cooperating till march though?

Yep, we definitely need to get more people to go. Im sure badboyr6 will come with us, he has a VX as well. This may be a fun *** ride.

yeah for sure. ive been checking on some of the marinas down there. there are some good spots. I want to be able to dock, refuel, get a beer and bit to eat, etc.

Hi Guys , Im in . for now I will go in the first trip , just waiting to weather get warmer . . Let me know when u got plans on the way . I have a 2008 FX yamaha and planing to get another for my wife , So 45 - 50 will be nice.

Im down any time its warm, im sure some people will be restricted to weekends only, so im thinking the weekend of the 20th/21st would be good as long as weather is decent.

I might be interested in a Bimini run if someone gets a decent group together. Depends on the time of year also. I have been watching these post and will continue to do so.
