Best place to go from Lehigh Acres?

Moved to Lehigh and should have my all my ski’s here in the next couple of weeks so where to ride? Is there a good place for taking a ski when it needs to be dialed in so you don’t need to keep putting back on the trailer? It's a HX so don't need to be working on it in deep water. If not can ride the XP'S they always seem to be ready. Any info would be great. Thanks

Dude, you moved to Lehigh Acres on purpose?
Please explain that to us, and then I'll tell you where to ride.

Re: Best place to go from Lehigh Acres?

LOL thats funny. I like this place not much going on can start my ski's without people complaining and a 3 year old house on a corner lot that was lived in for 6 months for 44.000 that is in perfect shape.and no toll bridge is a plus. I have 2 skis still in Key Largo and 2 in Cape Coral just need to go get them so I can ride if I knew where to go. Is that enuff info so someone will help me out? I took a drive to lovers key to check it out becouse of all the talk about it but it took me a couple hours in traffic to get to the other end of that 2 lane road, I guess I should have turned around and went back the way I came. Anyway it would be nice to know where to ride and meet up with some other riders not that much fun ridding by yourself. Thats about it. Have a nice day

Re: Best place to go from Lehigh Acres?

well, for river runs.... there's the alva boat ramp, 27 miles of free riding from lock to lock
for river/gulf, there's punta rassa, cover's everything from caloosahatchee/ sanibel, pine island sound
for estero bay/ gulf there's lover's key or coconut boat ramp.. coconut ramp is more practical for a lehigh drive...
the closest/most convenient has to be alva or caloosahatchee state park ramps...
we run all 3, all the time, pm me if you want company...
not sure about peace river....haven't tried that myself...

It's not that bad after May 1st. Go back to Lovers Key.
The way the press makes it sound, every house in Lehigh is a grow house now.

Peace River can be VERY shallow at times.

I'm here too........ every couple of weeks that is. Lovers key or even Cape Coral Y.C.
Seats, you ever launch at the ramp on Matalacha (south side of the road) just past the bridge?

Re: Best place to go from Lehigh Acres?

I think i've mentioned it to fwi about the new ramp just north of the midpoint in the Cape, Rosen Park. Nice ramp, no traffic what so ever,, but CC YC is still the most practical if your heading out towards the Gulf... Its great for River Runs ! Even with a 2 stroke you can get from Rosen to the Franklin Locks and back w/o refueling....and no hassles, i've never seen more than 5 Vehicles parked there....
Getting Back on Topic ...
From Lehigh.. you frankly have two options...
1) River Runs up/down the Caloosahatchee and the IWW
2) Long Drives...either towards the Gulf/Cape Coral or East Towards Lake Placid or Lake Clay...
I've heard Lake Clay is a nice little place... I'm just too lazy to make the 1.5+ hour drive each way
There's no avoiding it...
