The wind and cooler temps were sooo tempting so...
I went out yesterday on the West Coast (sorry no pics)but the waves on the Gulf Side we're pretty big and unpredictable (i did have my dry suit top which was very helpful) and i was riding solo so I turned around  and did a river run instead up the caloosahatchee river from punta rassa to the Franklin locks... At least the waves were smaller but with the big wind they were still very unpredictable during my 40 mile ride. I submarined 100% at least 5 times and lost my favorite hat ! (i'm really going to miss that hat)  the only good thing that came out of that particular incident is the boat that was heading the other direction saw me get completely submerged and I got a standing ovation when I came out alive and still going 30 !... 
Net result.. 3 hours on Water 13 Gallons missing, and i got a great core workout ! |
