Re: Sunset Ridge Lake Pleasant

I ride with him all the time and the spot we ride does not need 4x4 in fact we had a guy down there last weekend with a lowered nissan 350z.I dont know if its called sunset ridge but to get there you go through the entrance that takes you to the10 lane(scorpion bay),then take a your first right (south park rd or somthing like that) then take a left on desert tortise (right after the RV dump station) follow that and you will end up right across from the 10 lane boat ramp on a peninsula and as of last weekend there is no (no wake zone).Come on out and join us,we always have a good time

Go to main entrance on west side. Go through pay booths, take first right like you are going to go to 10 lane boat ramp. Take first left, I think it's Desert Tortise road or something similar. Follow it all the way out on to penisula. Road gets ruff towards end in places but shouldnt need 4wd. Had blast on sunday, hope to see you there.

Re: Sunset Ridge Lake Pleasant

I am in for sure... should be out there around noon ish. My only issue is my truck is not a 4x4 so dropping off the beach with the water at low level = truck stuck. Anybody got a tow strap and are cool with pulling me out if I get screwed?

Yeah Yeah...I got all that 4x4 stuff. I'm not 100% in yet but at least 80%. I'll know more in a day or so. If I can get my golf in on Friday I should be able to make it.

Lame .... yes I know. The last truck had 4x4 on it... never used it ..never. This one doesn't have it... get stuck 70% of the time.

Re: Sunset Ridge Lake Pleasant

I will not buy another truck without 4 wheel drive. I use it everytime at Pleasant. You wouldn't believe how many jacked up 2 wheel drive vehicles I have pulled out.

The best is when I have the 4runner and I send my wife to help pull them out. Imagine this small cute woman in a bikini with a beat up 4runner pulling this nice jacked up truck (and watercraft) out of their freshly made whole.
