roosevelt lake marina - Customer BEWARE

I have been at the marina the past few weekends and witnessed some pretty appalling behavior by the management there. Looks like the new owners are making the lives of current customers a living hell in an effort to make them leave their slips. Apparently the new owners want to make the marina more like an exclusive club for the wealthy rather than make the lake enjoyable for their faithful current paying customers. they "confiscated" my friends boat and jet skis from his slip saying that he had not paid his fees for six months, and even though he brought all the proof that he had in fact never missed a single payment in all the years he was a customer they would not give him his boat back "until he brought cash or a cashiers check" for the current month (they accept credit cards but apparently at their own skewed discretion). He had not yet even been billed for the current month. they apparently kicked an elderly couple out of their slip for the very same "clerical error". bottom line is I would be very wary of doing business with these scumbags...

That is illegal, it's called "conversion of property". Your friend should have called the police and should be talking to a lawyer.

I think legal action is definately going to be taken by many of the former contract holders of roosevelt lake marina. Apparently this guy owns pleasant harbor, and antelope point marinas too. super crooked folks. I would not give them a thin red cent.

I heard about the pleasant harbor fiasco I wonder How he can pull this shiot on public land in this case ? I think the Forest service should have basic ground rules for these marinas ,, like 2 pwc ramps certain tie up areas for boats ETC ,,

These are our tax dollars at work! pretty lame that the forest service would allow such an exclusive marina to be the only one on the lake. I don't see a line of million dollar yachts just waiting to be slipped at roosevelt either. just a "regular folks" lake...I havent seen anything business model like theirs EVER...

People are pulling their boats out like crazy. half the marinas slips are empty. I don't know if this Finch fella missed a memo or something but the economy isnt exactly booming. you would think he would be trying to keep paying customers around, not running them all off. But i guess as long as the forest service lets him get away with it tax payers get to pay for the displeasure of doing business with this marina since there is no competition.

You guys have it all wrong. The Government is just making room for ACORN's ambitious plan to house El Salvadorean freelance entertainers on floating multi-level housing.
