Peice of Ebay Sh*t!

I bought a used 550 crank from a guy off ebay a coulpe weeks ago (which I wiil never by a used crank again!) I received the crank a couple days later and it turns out the damn thing had a bent rod! I took it to Steve at APS and he told me the best I could do with it was hold a door open.

So I contacted the guy through pay pal to request a refund and he told me he will refund the money when I send it back. So I sent it back and a few days later the peice of sh*t tells paypal that it was'nt the crank he sold me and he will refund the money when I send the right one!!!

I can't believe this sh*t!! Does any body have some advice for my situation?

well ya buy a used crank its not gonna be perfect. he should have told it had a bent rod in the description but thats his choice. you could have rebuilt it also. but for him i think he is just a **** sales person and is just telling ebay/paypal whatever to keep his money.

Definitely post up some seller info(and email address if you have one)...with some of that info we can also figure out if its a forum member.

Obviously the guy is trying to screw you..especially with the "its not the same part" bs.

I would understand if he did'nt know that the bearings were bad but the rod was clearly bent. The rod pins were welded in so the best quote I got to rebuild it was $350. I bought the damn thing to avoid a rebuild now I'm having to rebuild my orginal one anyway.

I don't have anything but his address.

He even wrote me a message in ebay saying he might have sent the wrong crank, now hes telling me I sent him the wrong one!

That guy is/was a member here and he's a real dlckhole. It looks like the rod on the backside could be bent in the pic, but it's tough to tell. Did you pay with a credit card through paypal? If so, file a dispute with them.

I did pay with a credit card and have already filed the dispute...I know what he's trying to do, He's trying to make it look like he sent me a good crank and i'm trying to screw him by sending a bad one that looked similar to avoid the refund.
