| Lake Havasu World Finals new to the area, sort of, moved to Kingman in May but no riding due to school. Had heard about the finals in havasu sometime in late October. is there any sort of camping available down there? i know i could probably just google it but locals have the best info. my wife and I want to come down and watch the festivities, but don't want to commute everyday, nor pay for a hotel.
or, is it still too damn hot to camp down there that time of year?

| Re: Lake Havasu World Finals i seriously doubt you will find a spot now at crazyhorse, but not sure what else is in the area
hotels there aren't that expensive
it's worth coming to
we'll be there for a day or two
the freestyle i the last weekend i think... definately worth seeing
the weather... all i can say is we went last year and the two days were ummmmmm COLD and windy.... windy cold front came in, so i guess it can vary
nights i'd probably say would get cooler, at least here they are, we swing from low 60s to about 105 now |

| Re: Lake Havasu World Finals The IJSBA World Finals begin October 10th and run through Sunday, October 18th."Pro Weekend", which many feel is the best time to attend if you must make a choice is the 16th-18th,
I'd call Crazy Horse Campground and see what they still have available. Camping this time of year there would be fine...it's normally warm and sunny. If they're full up, you could probably toss your tent down in the WalMart shopping center parking lot and be good to go

thanks for the info LisaLisa. I've looked up some other campgrounds in the area, seems to be quite a few. is Crazy Horse the best option for being near the action? the 16th-18th works well for us and sounds like the right time to be there.
i've never seen a pro jet ski comp, so i'm stoked!

| Re: Lake Havasu World Finals Yes, the event is held at Crazy Horse Campground, so the entire event is right there. I'd avoid camping next to the Klippensteins though if I were you. They're really nice people, but Mike is an insomniac and stays up/gets up at all hours of the night and works on his skis. They usually stay on the hill directly overlooking the starting line.

i live in kingman now (only for school), but thanks, i think we're gonna try to get/hope to get a place at crazy horse.
LisaLisa, again, thanks for the info. regardless of our camping situation, i'm looking forward to seeing pro jet ski action, but good to know that crazyhorse is the heart of it all.
thanks to all for the info

| Re: Lake Havasu World Finals Windsor Beach is another option. The campgrouns are first come first serve right on the lake a few miles from the races. I usually get there on Sat with no problem finding a camp spot. I believe the sites are around 10 bucks and the facilities are clean with showers too. October is usually nice and cool at night to sleep comfotably. |
