I went to Saguaro this morning too. It sure is nice when the company you work for decides to shut down for one week every quarter. Too bad I'm not getting paid for this week though.....

I am in. Waiting to see if the Mrs is in as well. I am going to start working on some of those new camera angle ideas that you had.

Re: Canyon Lake Thursday July 2nd

Do you guys have a good stand up group here in The AZ valley? I may be moving out here in the future from TX. I have a great group there. We are all on x-h20.com. No one from Pheonix posts there so I'm trying to find a Stand up group here. I was wondering what lakes do you guys ride most of the time? Do you ever take a trip to Surfside? Has anyone ridden the rivers like the one downstraem from Squorro? We are looking for a house and I would love to be as close as possible to the good spots. I love riding as a group. I'm also used to riding 5 min from my house so 1 hour trips to the lake are going to put a damper in my riding. I have a SN and 2 FX-1s. My wife rides one of the FXs too.

Motobehrens, I'm down. My wife and I are riding Thursday. Canyon sounds good. See ya out there.

Melmack, I live 15 minutes from Saguaro Lake and the house next door is for sale with RV gate potential. There are a lot of homes for sale right now, cheap! I just bought one at auction dirt cheap. Right now you can buy a $100,000 house for 50K or a $700,000 one for about 280K. It's nuts! I work in the industry. FYI you can't ride the Salt River downstream from Saguaro, but on a inner tube the scenery and talent is quit nice.

Re: Canyon Lake Thursday July 2nd

No kidding on the prices. I can make enough on my house in TX to almost buy a decent house here outright right now. But I'd have to kill my Pool biz and start over. Tough decision. As far as the salt river goes, Is it illegal to ride there? We have tubers here so we cant ride there ither. How about in the winter? I love riding the rapids and seing where you can go. It's amazing where a stand up can get to. I would love to find a place to drop in and explore a river.

There is quite a big group of standup riders in the valley. It really depends on what side of town you live on. Most of the guys out west and north ride Pleasent and Bartlet. East side guys ride Saguara, Canyon, Rosevelte, and Apache. If you move to Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, or farther east you will be within 30 min of Saguaro or Canyon. There is also a few of us that post on X-H20 as well.

Well sheet Fractured Fiberglass has delayed me twice on picking up my Seadoo's and this has set back my packing/getting ready plans for camping severely.

Maybe I'll just do local stuff and meet you guys at Canyon.
