Areas to go around Maricopa Cnty

We have to be in Maricopa this weekend as she has some interviews, so i would like to bring the skis up with us. I am not sure exactly where we will be, still getting all the info.
what lakes/rivers are close to the area and are there fees or permits needed?
how far approximately are these areas?
Right now they scheduled her for noon, which sucks, so we are trying to make it earlier so we can get out and have some fun

Maricopa is kinda out there. The closest place to ride would probably be Saguaro lake (North of Mesa). Next would be Canyon (east of Apache Junction), then Bartlett(North of Scottsdale). There is no boat launch fee but you need to pick up a Tonto pass for parking. Usually stores along to way to the lake offer them for $7-$10 I think.

Re: Areas to go around Maricopa Cnty

this is the address of where we are supposed to meet Saturday.
I am hoping they reschedule to a morning time, then we can head out
10220 N. 31st Ave. Suite 101 Phoenix, AZ. 85051
I'll Google map this and see what is in the area

I had thought you were going to Maricopa City!! The closest lakes to that address is Pleasant or Bartlett. Pleasant will be NW of that location and Bartlett will be NE.
