Anybody doing any cool winter builds?

I know Mr. Ski is building the laserjet but was curious if anyone here locally was doing anything else fun?

I am about to start my 1990 SNSJ sold the 650 motor, looks like I have a 701 with dual 38's on its way and am considering doing foot holds, and a new paint job. I am not much of a mechanic so I am going to leave her stock for now but a pipe would be fun in the future...but will want someone to tune it for me as I blew the top end on my last ski adding a pipe. My goal with this is to make a great looking old school SJ that is reliable and fun to both Free Style with as well as ride like hell.

Anyway... just looking for some inspiration! Anybody else? Steve you starting on that Blaster yet?

Re: Anybody doing any cool winter builds?

Im rebuilding a sxr. Motor / cleaning glass work and paint under the hood. Might get into polishing some parts as well. Maybe next year I'll do a new paint job.

Sweet! Did you just pick it up or is it something you've been riding for awhile?

Re: Anybody doing any cool winter builds?

I picked it up at the 09 world finals. Only rode it twice before the tear down.

Re: Anybody doing any cool winter builds?

I just built a SXI 750/900 (ZXI 900 triple) and now I am building a fully ported (mild) ZXI 1100 to put in a SXR 800 hull. I have all the new parts for the engine and am in the proses of doing the port work. I just need a hull now.

Looks good man! That motor has some goodies on it!!! I will post some pics shortly... I only rode mine three times before tearing it open as well. I am painting the inside of the engine compartment but the paint doesn't seem to be sticking. Used purple power like I have read here but did not sand it. maybe that is my issue?
