The following thread was posted on pwcrider and it brings up a great debate. This is one where everyone's input would be helpful. You can view the current responses at pwcrider, otherwise if you're not on that site - please list your opinion here...

So Mr Jim... MM (memoMilk) and I have been talking...
and I know the super 800's is a novice group, but can we make it more of a intermediate class? From what Ive been understanding there should be alot more talent next year in the super 800's so if we keep memo, jason psycho, paul, maybe even have dixon back in, and have me, greg, o'sully move up - and of course anyone else that wants too (im sure a lot will) it should be an awesome class...

So I guess what we're asking for, is if we can make the 800 standup class a higher than novice class for those who dont want to move up to the crazy people class

with those 1100 triples - running with super fast guys like pete, ian, eric, etc.

What do you think?

Will post some thoughts on this when I get back from doing some running around.
In the meantime, anyone else with ideas or thoughts please list them here.
I want to do something with the Superstand 800 class, as well as the Sport Sit 900 class, in regards to dividing the range of talent from Nov/Int to Int/Exp BUT if we start adding to many classes we're not going to be able to keep running 3 heats a day per class and personally.... I think those 3 heats in a day are one of the things that make DJSA cool -

On the otherhand - that brings up a good point.
DO YOU GUYS WANT TO SEE
3 heats in a day - or
2 longer heats in a day ???
Its your call but I'd like to get feedback from everyone.

We COULD do it IF the start times were BUMPED up from 12:30ish to 11:00ish.....

I'd be happy to do 2-heats, instead of 3. We don't even have to run extra laps. DJSA courses are usually very big and extensive (nearly100 bouys). The staging in between races, is what kills us, time wise. Going 2-heats would allow me to run a 2nd class.
Also, since we are racing on Sundays, most of us will be anxious to wrap things up early.

class1----stock 800,superjets(mod or stock),sxi pros,octanes
class2----limited sxr,octanes(mod) stock hydros
class3----whatever you want aslong as its a stand up!kawidoos...sxr1100..crazy hydros...or just mad skill!!!!!

Sort of like what we have now, 750 sprint, super 800 and FAST stands, lol.

I really like 3 heats of racing, because it gives us more time out on the track, but it's pretty hard to do 3 motos in a day when the racing starts at noon. I definitely prefer 3 motos over 2. Especially if you were to add more laps with less motos. I like more motos, less laps, and a smaller track. Especially that last one, lol!

I like 3 heats also. More racing and less sitting. You know how it is, when you sit too long, you don't want to get up. lol

too many classes will kill it!!!!! i know its unfair sometimes but thats racing!!! i would keep it how it is! if someone is slapping everyone move them up!!! have a vote committee maybe 3 or 5 racers or non racers mix it up! if someone in a lower class is winning every race have a vote???

just ideas??

I would push for an earlier start time if more classes are added to ensure that we still have three motos. Three motos with lots of laps......one of the best things about DJSA racing, in my opinion.
