Why a point series? Why 12 races a year?
Cuz its way too much fun watching how these battles shape up at the end of the season!!! This ladies and gentlemen is what it all comes down to - the end of the season showdown amongst the best outlaw pwc racers in northern california!
All year long you've prepped and shined up your ski on fridays.
You've set aside hard earned money for gas and entry fees.
You travel down the freeway with your ski in tow as people check out the "race dude".
You register, practice, listen to my repetitive speeches about safety, and then go out and rip it for 3 heats to put points on the board and maybe take home something to put on the wall at the end of the day for your efforts.
This is what it all comes down to.
Some of these battles are in a dead tie.
Some are within 5 points of each other.
More exciting than Nascar? Oh HELL YEAH!!!!
Will it be the Bay Area "outlaw world finals" in Oakley? Oh HELL YEAH!!!
You've got me on the edge of my seat, and as much as I don't want the season to end, I CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT IN ANTICIPATION OF HOW THIS IS GOING TO END UP!
We've done alot of racing this year.
We've done alot of safe racing this year.
We've done alot of growing this year, but please know this -
Regardless of where your name falls on the list, regardless of if you're in the top 5 of your class, the top 10 of your division, or rounding out the bottom of the list of 143 racers who have raced this years outlaw series - from the FAST Stand pro/ams,to the 650 tiny but mighty standups, from the SCXP Supersit pro/ams to the X2 army - each and everyone of you is a pwc racing champion to me - and I thank you with all my heart for the hundreds of hours of satisfaction you have given me - in knowing and watching all of you get to where you are today. I have nothing but pride for each of you when I see you on the startline and please believe me when I say - the pleasure is ALL mine.
One more to go.
Let's do it safe
Let's do it clean
Let's do it fast
and let's do it OUTLAW STYLE!
Please accept my early congratulations to all of you - on an incredible season of racing.
See you in Oakley in a couple of weeks.
Full race details coming soon!
