New Year's Day Ride 2010

At Miller Park in Sacramento. Last year there were 20+ skis out there, some were running the buoys others went for a ride to Elkhorn. 48 degree was the temp last year so gear up and stay warm, haha. Everyone is welcome. See ya there.

It's the Sacramento river way before the Delta. All fresh water.

Re: New Year's Day Ride 2010

Im new to PWCtoday, is this event for stand-up ski's or both? How do these events usually go? i live in the east bay and might be interested in attending. I have a 2005 Yamaha FX HO. Also what is the usual gear for this time of winter? Is there a facebook event?

Welcome to PWCT. This is just a casual ride. Both skis are welcome. There will be quite a few coming from the Eastbay. The gear is pretty much full wetsuit or drysuit, gloves, shoes and anything that will keep you warm. Temp will probably be in the 40s.(haha, that's cold in Cali) Hope you can make it, it'll be fun and cold.

Rain coat or something that will shed off the water will work. The dryer you are the more comfortable you will be.
