Need input on San Luis resevoir

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this place?? Got an idea I'm working on and this place seems pretty centrally located. Who has been there and rode?? Need any input, thanks.

San Luis O'Niell Forebay, raced there in the mid 90s, but can't remember much. Must have been a good site if it held a race.

Re: Need input on San Luis resevoir

The forebay is a great place to hold races but i personally do not like it for rec riding. Too many rangers watching from what I remember. The reservoir on the other hand is great for rec riding and practicing. I have riden there about a dozen times over the years and havr never seen a ranger on the water. One draw back is there is nowhere to kick back on the water on the reservoir side but the forebay has areas where you can be by your skis with beach chairs etc.
