The beach is in front of the stands. That is a enclosed lake. Fresh water.

Re: DJSA Norcal vs SoCal Shootout: Six Flags Marine World

Thanks for posting those pics you guys.... great timing cuz I just got another important phone call... I have a meeting scheduled on site next thursday and its not to discuss a yes or no..... Its to establish a pit area, parking area, and staging area for all you guys at the first annual Norcal vs Socal Shootout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unofficially - I think we may have been granted a big fat GREEN LIGHT and I'm headed to Caffino right now to get three 32 oz non fat iced lattes with extra shots to celebrate!

I will give you the proposed date AS SOON AS I GET IT but they are looking for this race to tie in with the opening of an extreme roller coaster they are unveiling and that might not be too far off in the future - but I promise I will give you Socal guys plenty of notice to fit it into your schedules.

Just as a reminder this is going to be a 2 day event. Day one is the enduro race on San Pablo Bay from Vallejo to Red Rock to Benicia and back.
Day two will be course racing at Six Flags. The half of the state that racks up the most points during the 2 days takes home the 5 ft tall trophy for a year..... and maybe a few other sponsor donated goodies. $$$ ???

On another positive note, The City of Suisun wants us to schedule 3 point series races at their downtown waterfront - the third of which they would like to host our final awards race and dinner at the Solano Yacht Club which is a beautiful facility located right over the race site!!! Whats happening here - I can't keep up with it all, I need an assistant, but the bottomline is -
People dig the excitement you bring to the water...and so do I.
This is one of those days when I look at that plaque on the wall with all the photos of you guys and I have to bite my lip.... this is gonna be big. Some very cool Bay Area History is about to be made! You guys rock!

I spent the first forty five years of my life in this area. My son was born in Concord Calif right next door. I want to come back home so bad for this race. I would love for Andrew to have the opportunity to show the home crowd what their native son can do. Need to start thinking about a trip back home.

I would love to, but with finals just a couple weeks away it's hard to be gone for a whole weekend. Plus my ski is at home and I'm at school.
