Question for Bill O

I have a 99SPX and am thinking of putting a Spec I or II pipe on it. What electronics does it require for the rev limiter? the ECWI? The have a MT unit to control the rev limit and the ECWI from a 96 XP but I'm pretty sure it wont work. Also, Will a Spec II manifold clear the accelerator pumps/linkage?

Re: Question for Bill O

Depending upon which Spec2 ex. manifold you have, pre 1997 or 1997 and later, will detrimine if the linkage clears or not, but if not, R&D had at one time, made a special intake manifold that accepts oem carbs and also the FPP early spec2 ex manifold carb clearances. I do not know if they are still making it. Spec 1 pipes use the oem ex. manifold.
MT makes a rev limitier and ecwi controller for that model.
