Not the water regulator

I put the new water regulator on and it gained some rpms. It is now running 6330. I tried to find by searching the site about the exhaust hose problem. When i squeeze the hose in my hand from the water box to where it connects to the exhaust pipe through the hull and it has a couple places that feel like they are softer than others. Could that be causing lower rpms too? I pulled the seat on my other ski and it doesnt feel as spoungy.

Yes, that is how you decide if the hose needs further inspection. Chances are the hose has delaminated inside and the delam layers are blocking the exhaust flow.

Re: Not the water regulator

Since the hose is looped and not straight can you replace it with something other than factory exhaust pipe? If you can use some other hose what would you recomend and where is the best place to get it? Thanks Bill

Re: Not the water regulator

I posted that before I took the hose off and inspected it. It was fine so no need to replace it.
