I have a 98 GSXL............I was just recently riding and all of a sudden the skii just shut off. Tried to re-start........skii would not crank, remove the landyard & re-plugged it in.............NOT EVEN A CHURP...........what does this mean,,,,what can I do. Please help Bill O'Neal. thank you

First things first. Look for water, a bad fuse or a bad ground in the rear elevtrical box Then look to see if the two grounding wires came loose on the magneto husing or the magnetot housing plug became loose and is not making contact., Check fuses on the mpem.
Beyond those things, you may have a bad connection somewhere or need a new DESS post or lanyard.
If you flooded the hull with water lately, drain the water out of the magneto housing, vts box and rely on normal electrical troubleshootiong techniques to find your problem.

Not always an easy answer to any electrical glitch.

I assume your battery is perfect.
