Need help on 96 XP

I have a black Rossier pipe and have the carbs jetted at 140 each also sent my head to Rossier and they milled it, have Pro-X pistons and they are bored at 50mm. Also have Pro-K air filters that have outerwearers on them. Have a Solas impeller X prop 17/24 pitch. We have the R&D 3 degree(we think the guy we bought from was not 100% sure they were) trim tabs, Worx intake grate. Have thought about taking it off heard it can help gain MPH. We are getting the Micro touch rev limitor. My questons are with all that we have added do you think I need a high volume fuel pump? And the stock water box has a clang in it I have read that they are known to have problems have read that you recommend the yamaha GP or the Seadoo SPX which would you recommend for mine I am looking for more top end MPH or is there any others now that you would recommend? I am also looking for the venturi nozzle and the sterring nozzle I know they are to be 3 sizes different when you get am looking at the Skat trac or R&D which sizes would you recommend for top MPH and then for close course racing? I have heard from people in the past that you can do the R&D trim tabs to the 3 degree? If we were to mail ours to you could you do that? Do you have any other thoughts on how to make more MPH and help that you could give would be greatly appreciated. One other thing for the money is it worth putting on the MSD spark plug wires on?

Re: Need help on 96 XP

The stock fuel pump is good enough for stock carbs. even modified stock carbs.
With that size impellor, a 84 or 85 mm venturi nozzel is probably as small as you would want to go. OEM steerring nozzel will work fine.
Bolt the hull extenders from R&D onto your hull and use a straight edge to see if there is a gap out at the back end of the extenders. If so, you have the 3 degree extenders ( aka trim tabs ). They have nothing to do with rpm, only the ride height of the bow of the boat at speed. If you do not have a gap, file or grind the mounting tabs on the backside of the trim tabs to get the 3 degrees.
You will not see any improvement using MSD wires if your OEM wires are in good shape.
