Couple of questions for you.

I did all you told me to do with my 98 GTXL. It is running weird now. I got the jets and springs in. Cleaned the carbs top to bottom. Replaced everything that needed to be. Compression seems good to me. I think it was around 120 or 125. It is real hard to start. I have to squeeze the throttle a couple of times now. It still seems to hesitate when it warms up and gets going. If I'm cruising along, it will pause every once in awhile. LIke --------------- -----------------. It is noticeable. I tuned it in the water on the trailer. I went w/ the settings I was givin on here. 1 1/4 on lows and 0 on MAG and 1/4 on PTO for highs. I went down on the lows to just 1 turn and it didn't help. So I put them back to 1 1/4. Then I went to 1 1/2 and it got a little better. Seems to use less fuel but still more than other ski's out there. When I let go of the throttle, it will be at a higher RPM than what I have it set at. I have to blip the throttle to get it to come down. Any suggestions for me? One last thing. I noticed that the RPM's don't hold at 1400. They go up and down some. Thanks for you time. Sorry to bother you again.

Re: Couple of questions for you.

Did you sync the throttle plates in the carbs ? Good slack in throttle cable ?

Re: Couple of questions for you.

I don't recall doing that. How would I go about doing that? Is it hard? There is about a 1/4 inch of slack in the throttle cable. Maybe I missed that syncing the throttle plates. Is that the round things the cables go into?
